Hyatt Place Detroit/Livonia Hotel, Livonia

My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and inviting, with comfortable double beds and a pull-out sleeper sofa ensuring a restful night's sleep. The service was mostly friendly and responsive, although some areas lacked customer care. The location, while a bit small for a busy hotel, offered easy access to various business districts and a range of dining options nearby. The dining experience was excellent, with a variety of freshly cooked options each morning. Overall, a great value for money with a few minor hiccups.

Upon arrival, my room wasn't ready at check-in time, but once I got settled, it was clean and felt good. I had to request the room to be sprayed or switch rooms because they were dirty, especially the toilet and bathtub. The service varied from super friendly to staff being away from the desk often and not real polite or personable. Some staff members seemed not to care or try to accommodate special requests we had for our daughter's wedding, but on the bright side, others were very nice and even recognized me the next day. The location, though a bit small for this busy hotel, was a good value for the money, with many stores, restaurants, and a movie theater nearby. The dining options were fine, but overpriced at $12, although having breakfast available was appreciated. I wished it stayed open later than 9 am and offered healthier dishes. Overall, the facilities were decent, though I had expected more for the price.
